I did & of course I can't remember where I got it. A female bowmaker in, I think Maine or Massachusetts sells it by the foot online. I'll see if I can find the info.

A ha! www.lahbows.com/ although I don't see the tube on the site now. Maybe give her a call. You can also get tube at science supply places online but I"m never sure the right size, which is why I got it from this site.

It makes the bow "grippier." You remove the frog, lube the tube up a bit with a tiny amount of oil & slide it on the stick. Then replace the frog & pull the end of the tube over the little nub thing (crap, does that have a name?! OMG, I should know that!) I'm addicted. I've been playing with rubber tube on my bow for probably 15 of my cello playing years & I always panic when it looks like I"m going to run out!

well, now the trick is to figure out the measuring, jejeje. it turned out to be more complicated than i thought. i'm planning on just plain calling the place and ask if any cellist have bought tubing from them and find out the size they got.

Yeah, see that's the problem I had ordering off science lab supply or medical supply websites. I got stuff that was too thick & wouldn't slide on. I really don't know the measurement of the right kind but I know it if I see it in person. And of course I lost the extra I bought. I'm about to move so hopefully it will surface!
